Poole Harbour Canoe Club is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation -  Registration # 1152531

Mark Taylor  -  Welfare Officer

One of the roles of the welfare officer is make sure all our coaches and volunteers  are DBS checked (Previously known as CRB) whilst also ensuring that policies and procedure relating to safeguarding are pointed out to any one who joins the club. The policies are applied nationally to make sure we all paddle safely and free from pressures.   The policies cover anti bullying,  internet safety and many other areas where safeguarding may be a matter of concern.

As a club we do our best to make sure PHCC keeps you safe when you paddle with us.  Mark has been with the club for a few years and is keen on K1 Racing - but can occasionally be seen Sea Kayaking too.  He is assisted by Cheryl and Lynette with Cheryl often being found at the Riverside facility on the Stour at Wimbourne - but also almost anywhere along the Jurassic Coast sea kayaking.  Lynette can be found sea kayaking at Lake Pier.

Poole Harbour Canoe Club is committed to ensure that children and vulnerable adults enjoy Paddlesport in a safe environment, protected from any form of poor practice or abuse.  PHCC utilises Canoe England's  policies and procedures to support everyone involved in our sport and is obliged to investigate all reported concerns or allegations.   There are links here to the Canoe-England Guidelines to download or read on-line.
