Sea kayaking

With easy access from Poole Harbour to the exceptional Jurassic coastline in the West - and the accessibility of the Solent and the Isle of Wight in the East - PHCC is the perfect choice for the novice, the intermediate and the advanced Sea Kayaker.

The PHCC clubhouse at Lake Pier is ideally located to get afloat in Poole Harbour and to journey beyond; therefore Sea Kayaking figures prominently within our membership. Sea Kayaks are ideal for longer journeys and the open sea.

Paddling with PHCC on the sea, opens the door to a wide range of trip opportunities, from gentle nature watching amongst the harbour islands, to a more strenuous harbour circumnavigation on a warm summers evening after work.  Maybe you are looking for a paddle out to Old Harry’s Rocks and along to the Jurassic Coast, offering some of the best sea kayaking opportunities to be found anywhere.

Kayaks are easily transported, and the club runs trips all over the UK to experience different scenery and conditions.  Training and support are at the heart of the club and members will have a clear pathway to gain the skills needed to achieve their goals.

All PHCC trip leaders have the necessary qualifications and experience to enable everyone to have a safe, enjoyable, and sometimes exciting sea kayaking adventure.
